My Tasty Pizza Toast
I figured out how to make a tasty pizza toast in the air fryer, all by myself!! It's hardly an achievement, but I'm an absolute noob at food preparation, so I'm kinda proud of it. I decided to write the recipe here to make it easier to share 'n stuff, as I always find it really tasty, and I'd recommend it to everybody.
Ingredients
- Red pesto
- Sliceable bread
- Cheddar cheese
- Olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- Your preferred toppings; I recommend olives, mushrooms, and chilli peppers.
Equipment
- Cheese grater
- Air fryer
(or oven I suppose, but I use an air fryer due to how easy it is. I recommend getting one in general)
- Bowl for cheese grating, and plate for the food (obvs)
Instructions
- Start by taking two slices of bread. Put them on a plate and spread the pesto onto them.
- Then grate the cheese into a bowl and sprinkle it on. I recommend using the largest holes on the grater.
- Sprinkle the cheese onto the pesto-covered slices, then add any other toppings.
- Drizzle a small amount of oil onto each of them, and add salt and pepper if you'd prefer.
- Carefully remove the slices from the plate and place them into the air fryer. I generally put them in for 10 minutes at about 150 degrees C, but usually they don't take that long to cook - I recommend checking every few minutes to see if they're ready. If the bread looks dry and the cheese looks evenly melted, they're probably done.
Depending on your air fryer, each slice might take a different amount of time to cook. At least with my model, I can open the drawer to check while it's cooking. - Take them out carefully (you can use a fish slice or some other utensil to get them out, but don't scratch the drawer) and put them onto the plate from before. Enjoy!
